Sylvia Barasa better known as Rawbeena to her fans both in Europe and Africa is among the few female artist in Kenya who have gone ahead to break the norms.
The songbird who despite having a humble beginning and orphaned at a young age, dragged herself up by the bootstrap to achieve her future dream.
After a serie of performances in Europe Rawbeena is set to jet back to the country and complete her dream mission.
I want to come back and change the music scene especially where women are concerned.
She told Cate Odera during an interview for the True love magazine 2018 March Edition inspiration segment.
She is set to launch her all-female music studio in Kenya upon her arrival and the release of her new album.
My aim is to encourage and empower girls to know more about just singing a song.
The studio initiative will include international music producers and teachers visiting Kenya to offer music workshops and skills to the team.
On top of her upcoming studio album, Rawbeena also has a number of unreleased track. According to the singer the song are only available for his Europe fans for now.
