Last week award winning Kenyan rapper, Octopizzo dropped the visuals to his hit track “Young Puffy” off his fourth studio album “Next Year”.

Young Puffy  portrays a somewhat gangster theme which goes well with his accurate invective in the lyrics, all aimed at his haters. The video begins with some guy yelling and breaking stuff in what seems like a ripped-down office. Then there is the puzzling quote:

Only a man who has felt ultimate despair is capable of feeling ultimate bliss’ and from everything goes hard, from the beat and the hook of the single.

“Young Puffy” could be a celebration and detailed explanation of how he rose to fame from his humble beginnings.

The artwork for “Young Puffy” features a picture of Octopizzo set a background of G.O.A.T.s like Tupac, Nas and P.Diddy. The visual is crisp and fresh and sees Octopizzo rocking a thick fur coat together with Barak Jacuzzi as flashes of him are shown on stage and on the football pitch.

He also displays his jewelry and moolah as he grooves to how he keeps the papers continuously rolling in. Not done yet, Octopizzo also pays his dues by acknowledging renowned photographer, Kev Buo and then the video shows an artwork cover of Young Puffy done by Buo Art.

With having performed at this year’s first ever TEDx talk at the Kakuma Refugee Camp, Octopizzo is definitely setting his sights high and he wants us to know it.
