Wale -Good To Great | Features Maryland / Washington, D.C. Representative Phil Ade.

With his first new offering since the release of his fifth album Shine earlier this year, Wale teams up with Phil Adé on Good to Great. The track is Produced by JuJuInPerson.

The track is laid out and the two bring some smooth and mellow vibes as they strive to level up in life.  The rapper takes on a more chilled out beat provided by JuJuInPerson while giving us an update on what’s been going on in his life recently.

Wale grabs vocalist Phil Ade for assistance on the hook and the two of them prove they have quite the chemistry of wax together. The Maybach Music Group MC recently spoke about the inspiration behind the song.

How this song came together was just a lot of nights out after Summer On Sunset mixtape, he said.

It just feels like the end of the club and it’s about to go down. Nights like that are dope to me because being able to share memories and document them through music is dope.

It’s unclear where “Good to Great” will land. Folarin released his fifth studio album, Shine, back in April and is set to executive produce Maybach Music Group’s forthcoming Self Made 4.

Aside from releasing new music, Wale also promoted “Rally for Meek,” which took place yesterday at the Criminal Justice Center in Philadelphia.

If we were only judged for our past, we’d never enjoy the present, or have reason to be optimistic for our tomorrow’s. #FreeMeekMill
