Tunji – Mat Za Ronga | Here Comes The Best Matatu Video Ever
Finally Tunji has dropped the video to his anticipated Single “Mat Za Ronga.” The video comes nearly eleven months after the official release of the audio track. Since then the track has been storming Deejay mixes and Radio charts. I personally heard the song late last year on a hip hop mix.
The track mainly centers on matatus which is a preferred means of transportation all over the country. In the song he focused mainly on matatus operating the 125/126 route that is Rongai and its environs. The song shows that Rongai has the best matatus in Kenya in all aspects I mean “Mat za rongaa ni zii”
Born Mwawaka Ronald Tunji, second born in a family of three. The twenty three years old rapper mainly does rap music and deejaying with a little bit of production on the side plus he plays the drums to some extent. He started rapping and drumming back in primary school. He started deejaying in Campus and later hit the studio.
Tunji has done two mix tapes titled Now They Know and Bedroom Music which were released by Inkverse and TILO in September 2015 and July 2016 respectively. To him music is way of expressing how he feels and how he interacts with the things that surround him
“Ivan Odie and Richie G came through with some great directing and I feel like it came out nice,” explains Tunji, adding that he loved the energy and vibe of the crowd as well. Although there is no release date for the video at the moment, Tunji says that he’ll keep us in the loop.
